Driveway Resurfacing
If the slab underneath is solid, you may not need a new driveway. Resurfacing puts a new face on the old concrete for a fraction of what replacement costs.
A new surface, not a new slab
Resurfacing is the right call for maybe one driveway in four that we look at. We will tell you honestly if yours is one of them.
Plenty of Orlando driveways are structurally fine and just look terrible. Surface spalling from thirty summers, rust and oil stains, a chalky grey that will not pressure wash clean. The concrete underneath is still four inches thick and still level. Tearing that out to pour the same thing again is a waste of your money.
Resurfacing cleans and repairs the existing slab, then bonds a new polymer-modified overlay to it. The result is a uniform surface that can be broom finished, smoothed or textured. It costs a fraction of replacement and takes a couple of days.
Is the slab a candidate?
Resurfacing only works on concrete that is sound. We check before we quote.
- Level checked across the whole slab
- Cracks assessed as cosmetic or structural
- Base and edges probed for washout
- Honest no if it is past resurfacing
- Replacement quoted instead when that is the truth
Preparation
The overlay is only as good as what it bonds to.
- Pressure washed and degreased
- Oil and rust stains treated
- Cracks routed and filled
- Surface profiled so the overlay grips
- Edges and joints masked
The overlay
A polymer-modified cementitious layer, bonded to the old slab.
- Applied in one or two coats
- Broom, smooth or textured finish
- Integral color on request
- Joints re-cut to match the original
- Cured and sealed
Sealing and care
A resurfaced driveway lasts longer sealed.
- Sealed after cure
- Resists oil, water and UV
- Re-seal every two to three years
- Easy to pressure wash
- Stays uniform rather than patchy
Why Orlando homeowners call C2
Four things you can hold us to, on this job and every one after it.
A fraction of replacement
No demolition, no haul-off, no new base. When the slab qualifies, resurfacing is the cheapest way to a driveway that looks new.
Only when it will hold
We will not resurface a failed slab and let you find out in a year. If the concrete is moving, we say replace, and we quote that instead.
Days, not a week
Prep one day, overlay the next, cure and seal. You are parking on it again faster than any replacement.
Looks like a new pour
Done right the overlay reads as new concrete from the street. Uniform color, clean joints, no patch lines.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions from Orlando homeowners.
Is resurfacing a good option for my driveway?
If the slab is level, has no wide or displaced cracks, and the problem is the surface, yes. If a corner has settled, there are cracks you can slip a coin into, or the edges are crumbling into the sand, no. An overlay follows what the slab does, so a moving slab means a cracked overlay. We check and tell you which you have.
How long does a resurfaced driveway last?
A properly prepared and sealed overlay on a sound slab lasts many years in Central Florida. The two things that shorten it are skipping the prep and never resealing. We do the prep and we tell you when to reseal.
How much does driveway resurfacing cost in Orlando?
Typically a few dollars per square foot, which for most Orlando driveways is a third or less of what a full replacement would run. Stains, deep spalling and decorative finishes move the number. We quote your actual driveway after a free on-site look.
Can you change the color or texture when you resurface?
Yes. Integral color goes into the overlay, and the finish can be broom, smooth, or a light stamped texture. A lot of people use resurfacing to get the stamped look on a driveway that is structurally fine but plain.
Will the overlay crack where the old driveway was cracked?
Hairline cracks that are routed, filled and stable, usually not. Structural cracks that are still moving, yes, which is why we do not resurface those driveways. The honest assessment up front is what keeps a resurfacing job from becoming a complaint.
