Ocoee has an old downtown around Starke Lake, with homes from the fifties onward on original concrete, and a ring of newer communities along the 429 corridor: Westyn Bay, Arden Park, Eagle Creek and the rest. The two halves fail differently. Downtown it is age, thin slabs on sand with mature oaks underneath. Along the 429 it is settlement at the apron on construction fill.
Ocoee lots are open and the streets are wide, which makes this one of the easier places we work. Street parking for the truck and the pump, room to stage forms, and no narrow side yards to walk concrete through. We do a steady run of driveway replacements downtown and apron repairs in the newer subdivisions, and Silver Star Road is a straight shot from our base.

Ocoee is flat to gently rolling sand around Starke Lake, with newer subdivisions built on cleared groves to the north and west.

Yes. Those are original slabs, often thin and cracked, with oaks that have had decades to push up. Most of what we do there is section repair or full replacement with a compacted base, and the honest call between the two is the first thing we give you.
My driveway in Westyn Bay is settling at the street. Is that normal?
It is common in the newer Ocoee communities. The lots were graded and filled, and a driveway poured before the fill fully settled follows it down, usually at the apron. We cut out the settled section, rebuild and compact the base, and pour it back level.
Do you do patios and lanai extensions in Ocoee?
Yes, and the newer homes along the 429 are a big part of that. A lot of them were built with a small lanai slab and the owners want it extended. We tie into the existing slab, match the finish and set the fall away from the house.
