Slabs, Footings and Foundations
From a hot tub pad to the foundation under a garage. Poured to the thickness and the reinforcement the job actually needs, permitted and inspected where the county says so.
Slabs that carry something
A driveway carries a car. A slab under a shed, a workshop or an addition carries a building. We pour them differently, and we pull the permits that come with it.
Most of the slab work we do in Orlando is for things people are adding: a shed, a detached garage, a workshop, a hot tub, an air conditioner, a generator. Then there are footings and stem walls for room additions, and monolithic slabs for new structures. A general contractor license lets us do all of it, including the parts that need an engineer and an inspection.
The thickness, the reinforcement and the footing depth all depend on what is going on top. A shed pad is one thing. A two-story addition is another. We size it to the load, we build it to the plans where there are plans, and we get it inspected where the county requires.

Why Orlando homeowners call C2
Four things you can hold us to, on this job and every one after it.
Licensed for structural work
C2 is a Florida certified general contractor. Footings, stem walls and slabs under structures are inside our license, with the permits and inspections that go with them.
Sized to the load
A hot tub pad, a shed slab and a garage foundation are three different pours. We build to what is going on top, not to one default.
Inspections scheduled, not dodged
Where the county wants to see the steel before the pour, we schedule it. A slab poured without the inspection is a problem at resale.
Itemized estimate
Excavation, base, steel, concrete, permit. You can see what each part costs before you say yes.

Frequently asked questions
Common questions from Orlando homeowners.
How much does a concrete slab cost in Orlando?
A simple shed or equipment pad is typically a few hundred to a couple of thousand dollars depending on size. A garage or workshop slab with a thickened edge runs more, and footings and foundations for an addition are priced to the plans. We quote the actual job, itemized, after a free on-site look.
Do I need a permit for a shed slab?
It depends on the size of the shed and your city. Small sheds under a certain footprint often do not need one, larger ones and anything with power or plumbing do. We check for your address and handle it when a permit is required.
How thick does a slab need to be?
Four inches for a shed, a patio or a light workshop. Five to six for a garage, a hot tub or anything with vehicle or heavy equipment loads. Footings go deeper and are sized by an engineer for additions. We tell you what yours needs and why.
Can you pour a foundation for a room addition?
Yes. Footings, stem walls and monolithic slabs for additions are part of our general contracting work. We build to the engineered plans, coordinate the inspections, and tie the new foundation into the existing one correctly.
How long does a slab take to cure before building on it?
You can start framing on most slabs after about a week, and the concrete reaches full design strength at twenty-eight days. For a hot tub or heavy equipment we ask you to wait the full month. We give you the dates when we finish.
Ready to sort out your slabs and foundations?
Tell us what you have and we will give you a straight price and a start date, usually the same day you call. The on-site estimate is free.
